RBC Group have successfully completed the implementation of IBM Cognos project at Caspian Offshore Construction (COC), a private Kazakhstani company operating in the market of development and support of the continental shelf in the Caspian Sea.

To improve the quality of operational and strategic management, as well as to meet the needs of Caspian Offshore Construction related with planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis, the company’s management have decided to implement IBM Cognos system, which has all the necessary tools for multidimensional business analysis, planning, modeling of various scenarios, reporting and forecasting. The implementation of IBM Cognos at COC Company has been completed within three months. The project was launched in June 2016, and by mid-October of the same year, the system was put into commercial operation.

With IBM Cognos the financial department of Caspian Offshore Construction can perform fast consolidation of data on budgets entered by the key users on-site instead of manual processing and data set that would take several days. To receive transcription of the amounts both by planned and actual values, with the ability to drill down up to the primary documents from the accounting system, that was crucial for Caspian Offshore Construction from the very beginning. To create management reports that enables to analyze the company’s activities and provide information on the results achieved both by departments and individual employees in the required analytical sections; To organize a board of performance / information panel of the company’s activities carrying the key indicators output in a graphic and digital form and reflecting the current state of the business; carry out a demonstration for shareholders presenting the key indicators of the company.
