Important Announcement on SunSystems Availability and Product Lifecycle Policy – November 2024 By RBC Group – November 8, 2024

Infor’s updated Product Lifecycle Policy for SunSystems provides a structured approach to support and upgrades, crucial for companies using SunSystems and Q&A for financial management and reporting.

Key Highlights of the Updated SunSystems Lifecycle Policy

  1. Lifecycle Stages
Infor organizes the SunSystems product lifecycle into three stages, each designed to support various product maturity phases:
    • Mainstream Maintenance: Comprehensive support, including new releases, fixes, and regulatory enhancements. Staying current under Mainstream Maintenance for SunSystems helps reduce business risks and gain access to new functionalities.
    • Extended Maintenance: Available after Mainstream Maintenance, offering limited updates focused on critical fixes. This is a paid support extension for SunSystems with reduced functionality.
    • Sustaining Maintenance: The final stage with support for existing fixes only. Customers should consider upgrading to new SunSystems versions for full support.
  1. Transitional Support
Infor offers SunSystems Transitional Support to assist clients in moving from an on-premises license to a subscription model. This support is provided temporarily at a reduced fee, facilitating a smoother transition while maintaining access to essential services.
  2. Product Compatibility and End of Extended Maintenance for SunSystems (end of 2024)
By the end of 2024, Infor will end Extended Maintenance for:
    • SunSystems 5 – all versions
    • SunSystems 4 – all versions
    • Query & Analysis 10 – all versions
    • DataLink Studio / EIF Studio

In addition, Infor plans to end Sustaining Maintenance for:

    • Query & Analysis 11 versions 11.1 and 11.2
    • Query & Analysis Evolve versions 1.1 and 1.2
    • Query & Analysis Context versions 1.2.0 and 1.3.0

On December 31, 2025, Infor will end support for SunSystems 6 versions 6.1, 6.1.1, 6.2, and 6.3. SunSystems 6.4 and Query & Analysis 11.3 will remain under Extended Maintenance.

  1. Support for Continuous Update Products
For continuous update products like SunSystems 6.4 and Query & Analysis 11.3, Infor follows a regular update schedule under Mainstream Maintenance, ensuring access to the latest improvements.
